When: Friday June 20th, 2008

Time: 11 a.m. – 3 p.m.

Branson Tourism Center, in partnership with the Community Blood Center of the Ozarks (CBCO), will be hosting the ‘Salute a Veteran’ Blood Drive on June 20th, 2008 at the Tourism Center’s office complex on Branson Hills Parkway.

Every participant will receive a free patriotic T-Shirt as a way to say “Thank You” for your generous donation of life saving blood. When your donation is completed, you will be given an opportunity to write a note to a current or former service member to let them know that you have made a donation in their honor. All cards will be mailed to the veteran of your choice through the Community Blood Center of the Ozarks.

The CBCO serves many local hospitals in the 38 counties in southwest Missouri, northwest Arkansas, and southeast Kansas which rely on the donations. It is so important to do our part in helping these communities!!

Did You Know:

1. It takes 275 donations EACH AND EVERY DAY to meet the needs of local patients?

2. Even if you have a diagnosed medical condition or are currently taking medication, you may still be able to donate! The CBCO can share donation guidelines with you.

3. Did you know that when you donate blood, you don’t save one life? You actually save THREE! Your donated blood is separated into 3 parts (red blood cells, plasma, and platelets) you have the opportunity to touch three people in the most amazing, ‘life-changing’ way.

Please consider giving the gift of life as you honor the courage and selfless sacrifice of our nation’s veterans. Join us at the Branson Tourism Center and Community Blood Center of the Ozarks Salute a Veteran Blood Drive on June 20th. Thank You!
