SUBJECT: AREA CHILDREN’S ART ON DISPLAY AT RALPH FOSTER MUSEUM APRIL 11-MAY 20
By: Austin Plummer

The Children’s Art Show will open this month at College of the Ozarks Ralph Foster Museum in Edwards Art Gallery.  This annual exhibit, displaying the talent and creativity of local school children’s art, will run April 11 – May 20, 2011.

The art chosen by area school teachers includes pen and ink drawings, crayon sketches, acrylic paintings, paper mache creations and imaginative sculptures.

“The Children’s Art Show is a big hit every year with the visitors, the school children, parents and our own museum staff,” says Director of Ralph Foster Museum Annette Sain.  “We feel this is a fun show with no pressure on the students to compete for awards.”

The Ralph Foster Museum is open Monday through Saturday from 9 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.  General admission prices are $6 for adults and $5 for seniors; high school age students and younger are free. Parents of the children participating in the art show will receive free admission.

For more information, please contact The Ralph Foster Museum at (417) 690-3407.
