BRANSON, MO—January 2014 Andy Williams Moon River Theatre is proud to announce the addition of the Lennon Sisters to their October star studded line-up! The Lennon Sisters will be performing October 20th through 22nd and 27th through 29th at 8 PM.
The Lennon Sisters are an American Institution, first introduced to the country by Lawrence Welk. Glamorous, yet unpretentious; Sophisticated, yet down to earth; Famous, yet approachable. No wonder America Loves the Lennon Sisters…they are the girls next door. For 13 years on the Lawrence Welk Show, Dianne, Peggy, Kathy and Janet charmed the nation with their sweet-voiced harmonies. They were dubbed “America’s Sweethearts of Song”. They have sung for seven Presidents, performed with nearly every major star in Hollywood, and were welcomed into millions of homes across America every Saturday night. The girls were awarded their own Star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame, and they were inducted into the National Vocal Group Hall of Fame. When Dianne and Peggy retired, their younger sister Mimi joined them in 1999. The Lennon Sisters have been known for such hits as “Tonight, You Belong to Me, and Sad Movies (Make Me Cry).” During the 60s and 70s, the Lennon Sisters appeared on the Andy Williams Television Show many times, and worked for many years with him in Las Vegas at Caesars Palace. They continue to bring their gift of music to our stage. For a performance filled with their unmistakable harmonies, video highlights of their fabulous career (which will surely bring back warm memories), funny stories that will bring some laughs, and three special little guests, Janet’s granddaughters, don’t miss The Lennon Sisters show this October at The Andy Williams Moon River Theatre

Illusionist Rick Thomas brings his amazing magic to
The Andy Williams Moon River Theatre
March through October

BRANSON, MO—January 2014

World-renowned Illusionist Rick Thomas has been delighting Las Vegas audiences and wowing critics for 15 years. He has also completed five world tours covering over 50 countries. Critics call it the perfect show for the entire family! Rick Thomas now proudly brings to Branson the most successful family show in Las Vegas history.

High honors include the coveted “Magician of the Year” by the Academy of Magical Arts and “Stage Magician of the Year” by the World Magic Awards. Thomas has also been featured on numerous national television specials including the NBC specials “The World’s Greatest Magic” and his own specials on ABC that aired throughout Asia.

Thomas performs the most intriguing and innovative grand illusions in the world with a style unlike any other magical entertainer. His stage presence is unmatched as he weaves magic, music and dance into a seamless spectacle. The slick showmanship of Rick Thomas is a riveting visual delight and he is a triumph of personality and presentation!

Thomas’ theatrical background includes ballroom dancing, a fact that accounts for the graceful movements of this tall (6’4″) magician on stage. At the tender age of five Rick began teaming with his sister, Tamara, in ballroom dance competitions. Their natural abilities, along with hard work, earned them the title of Amateur United States Ballroom Dancing Champions while in their teens.

-more-

It was during his ballroom dancing competition travels that Thomas first saw the Tropicana Resort & Casino in Las Vegas and vowed to one day perform at the hotel. Not only did Thomas headline at the Tropicana for 8 years, he continued his success at the Planet Hollywood Casino, and the Sahara Casino to name a few. Rick Thomas now tours the world and will be joining us in Branson March 28 through October 4, 2014!

“Rick Thomas is going to be an amazing addition to the Andy Williams Moon River Theatre,” said Jimmy Osmond. “The Andy Williams Theatre is built on an incredible history of fabulous entertainment and Rick Thomas is a renowned Las Vegas Iconic entertainer who will be performing the finest magical entertainment in the world. Audiences in Branson will be talking about this show for years to come.”

An extraordinary Las Vegas show now here in Branson for all of us to enjoy!

Tickets for Rick Thomas are available at the box office by calling 800-MOON-094.

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

Clay Cooper Theatre Welcomes Chris Perondi’s Stunt Dog Experience this Summer, 2014!

Branson, MO. Clay Cooper has announced that Clay Cooper Theatre will add Chris Perondi’s Stunt Dog Experience to the summer line-up for 2014. Chris and his incredible cast of canines have put together an incredible two hour show with amazing acrobats, dizzy dancing, high jumping, incredible obstacles and much more! Chris is excited to be a part of the Clay Cooper family and has been busy preparing new sets and obstacles for his professional pooches. Chris is joined by four other trainers to ensure proper training, nutrition, and preparation to make sure our three-sided stage remains a safe environment for all the dogs as they move from one portion of the show to another.
Clay Cooper commented, “I am excited to have Chris and his ‘crew’ at our theatre this year. I went to visit him last year and couldn’t believe what these dogs could do. I can’t even get my dog to sit! But really, Chris handles his dogs like family and you can tell by the way they constantly run to him and want to play, even when the show is over! AND, it shows in the performance of these dogs, too. I can’t wait to see what Chris has in store for us at the theatre…my kids can’t wait either!” Chris is a strong supporter of animal rescue and, in fact, each superstar on his stage has been rescued!
Silver Dollar City featured Chris and his incredible cast of canines during Kids Fest the last couple years. He has travelled all over the United States for special events and private parties. Chris and his canines will be featured in the Rose Bowl Parade January 1st on the Lucy Pet Foundation float. Chris has enjoyed the Branson community and would like to stay here for more years to come!
The Clay Cooper Theatre summer line-up will include Chris Perondi’s Stunt Dog Experience at 10am, Joseph Hall’s Elvis Rock ‘N’ Remember Tribute at 2pm, Buckets N Boards at 2pm, The Haygoods at 7:30pm and Clay Cooper’s Country Express also at 7:30pm. We will also have Red, Hot…& Blue! at 10am featured in June!
Make sure you check our website www.claycoopertheatre.com for more information on our full season of shows. Mel Tillis will return to Clay Cooper Theatre this fall. The theatre will open February 14th and close with a BIG New Years Bash! No other time than a GOOD TIME at Clay Cooper Theatre!
