FAMED BROADCAST JOURNALIST ANN COMPTON TO SPEAK IN BRANSON, MO.
A special dinner honoring remarkable mothers will be held in May

Branson, MO. March 18, 2015 – A special dinner will be held, Honoring our Mothers…Applauding Remarkable Women, Saturday, May 2, 2015, 6:00 pm at the Chateau on the Lake in Branson, Mo. The annual dinner benefits the Caring People, a non-profit organization that seeks to positively impact the lives of single mothers and their children. Former ABC News’ White House Correspondent, Ann Compton, will be the keynote speaker for Honoring Our Mothers.

Ann Compton

Ann Compton has a storied career spanning seven presidents over her 41 years in broadcast journalism. She was the first woman to serve as a White House correspondent for any television network (ABC News), and one of the youngest hired at the age of 27. On September 11, 2001 Ann was the only broadcast reporter allowed to stay aboard Air Force One during the dramatic hours when President Bush was unable to return to Washington. Ann says her most valued award is a golden statuette received from the National Mothers’ Day committee naming her a Mother of the Year in 1988.

Tickets for the dinner, Honoring Our Mothers, can be reserved by visiting thecaringpeople.org/honoringmoms. Early bird pricing, only available until April 1, 2015, is $65 for a single ticket price and $110 for a couple. A meet and greet will be held at 4:45 pm for dinner sponsors.
