FAMED BROADCAST JOURNALIST ANN COMPTON TO SPEAK IN BRANSON, MO.
A special dinner honoring remarkable mothers will be held in May

Branson, MO. March 18, 2015 – A special dinner will be held, Honoring our Mothers…Applauding Remarkable Women, Saturday, May 2, 2015, 6:00 pm at the Chateau on the Lake in Branson, Mo. The annual dinner benefits the Caring People, a non-profit organization that seeks to positively impact the lives of single mothers and their children. Former ABC News’ White House Correspondent, Ann Compton, will be the keynote speaker for Honoring Our Mothers.

Ann Compton

Ann Compton has a storied career spanning seven presidents over her 41 years in broadcast journalism. She was the first woman to serve as a White House correspondent for any television network (ABC News), and one of the youngest hired at the age of 27. On September 11, 2001 Ann was the only broadcast reporter allowed to stay aboard Air Force One during the dramatic hours when President Bush was unable to return to Washington. Ann says her most valued award is a golden statuette received from the National Mothers’ Day committee naming her a Mother of the Year in 1988.

Tickets for the dinner, Honoring Our Mothers, can be reserved by visiting thecaringpeople.org/honoringmoms. Early bird pricing, only available until April 1, 2015, is $65 for a single ticket price and $110 for a couple. A meet and greet will be held at 4:45 pm for dinner sponsors. Dinner begins at 6:00 pm and the program starts at 7:00 pm. Chateau on the Lake’s Executive Chef Doug Knopp will present a succulent dinner followed by a grandiose “apple” dessert experience.

The Caring People is a 501C(3) organization made up of over 150 volunteers, caring women, who mentor Single Moms in weekly “Care Groups” held throughout Missouri, Kansas, Ohio and internationally in El Salvador.

A Fairy Tale Dream Come True

Branson, MO: The Butterfly Palace and Rainforest Adventure will be an even more magical place to visit on Sunday, March 22nd from noon to 4pm, for Princess Day, as the Princesses from Branson’s As You Wish Princess Parties will be stopping in for a visit.

“We are extremely excited for our princesses to visit The Butterfly Palace.”, Says Renee Eaton, owner of As You Wish Princess Parties. “Stepping into the building already feels like you’re stepping into a wondrous and magical place. It’s beautiful, and a perfect place to meet fairies and princesses.” She goes on to say, “Fairy tale princesses are known for their love of all creatures, great or small, and butterflies are no exception. In fact, you will probably see butterflies in just about every princess film, or illustration. They are perfect together as they are both symbols of hope, beauty, and kindness.”

Everyone is invited to meet their favorite princesses, who will take time to pose for pictures, sign autographs and give warm hugs. Among them will be Cinderella, Tinker Bell, Ariel, Belle, the Ice Queen and her sister, and more! Perhaps you will find them playing in the Rainforest Mirror Maze, saying hello to their Rainforest friends in the Science Center, or enjoying the peaceful beauty of all the free flying tropical butterflies in the Aviary! Little princesses are encouraged to wear their own beautiful princess gowns and spend a fun-filled afternoon with Fairy Tale Royalty exploring and learning about the rainforest.

Regular priced admission will be charged, however there is no additional fee to visit the princesses. Local prices will be valid for residents and employees of Stone and Taney Counties with proof of ID/Paystub.
