		<title>Celebrate National Day of the American Cowboy At The Roy Rogers Museum</title>
		<description><![CDATA[<p>The Roy Rogers-Dale Evans Happy Trails Theater and Attraction will celebrate the National Day of The American Cowboy this Saturday July 26. Festivities include a special appearance by the Riders of the Circle B, two shows by Roy Rogers Jr. and The High Riders with Dustin Roy Rogers, and a free coloring contest for kids.  In addition, Roy Rogers Jr. and The High Riders will take to the stage at the Circle B Chuckwagon during their show that evening (seating begins at 4:15 for the 5:00 pm Dinner Show).</p>
<p>All participants in the kids&#8217; coloring contest will receive a free coloring book and a ruler.  Winners of the coloring contest in each age category will receive special gift baskets delivered to their homes.</p>

		<title>September 11 Concert Benefits Branson Veteran Task Force Activities</title>
		<description><![CDATA[<p>Get ready for the Ulster Band, a group of Canadians who trace their heritage and musical roots back to Ireland and WWI.  Whether it’s Irish, Scottish, light classical, pop or patriotic music, you’ll enjoy their performance!</p>
<p>The benefit concert will honor veterans and emergency personnel at Tri-Lakes Center at 7:00 pm on September 11.  Area emergency personnel are free with proper identification.  All others tickets are $15.00; couples $25.00.  All proceeds benefit the Branson Veterans Task Force and their Veterans Week activities.</p>
<p>A special benefit dinner catered by Golden Corral at the Tri-Lakes Center is $5.00 per person.  The first $500 of dinner revenue will go directly to the Task Force.  Doors open at 4:00 with dinner served from 4:30 – 6:30.  Theater doors open at 6:00.</p>

		<title>Juvenile Diabetes Fundraiser at Panera Bread</title>
		<description><![CDATA[<p>Join the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation of the Ozarks at Panera Bread, at 2407 Green Mountain Drive in Branson on July 28th from 5:00 - 8:00 p.m. for fantastic food, fun and outstanding artwork to raise money for JDRF. Simply mention that you are there supporting JDRF and 10% of your purchase will be donated to the foundation.</p>
<p>There will be artwork on display by local artist such as Christina Schanda, Sam Hull, Cheryl Hardin and Jerri Loveland who will be donating 20% of resulting sales to JDRF.</p>
<p>JDRF is the leading charitable funder and advocate of type 1 (juvenile) diabetes research worldwide. The mission of JDRF is to find a cure for diabetes and its complications through the support of research.<br />

		<title>Nominations for First Responder Recognition on September 11, 2008</title>
		<description><![CDATA[<p>As part of a benefit concert at 7:00 pm on September 11, 2008, the Branson Veterans Task Force will honor a Stone or Taney County police officer, firefighter or paramedic who has gone beyond the call of duty to demonstrate Courage, Heroism and Bravery in Service.</p>

		<title>National Day of Atomic Remembrance Celebration</title>
		<description><![CDATA[<p>On Wednesday, July 16 at 12:00 noon, the Branson Veterans Task Force will observe Atomic Remembrance Day at the Golden Corral, 3551 Shepherd of the Hills Expressway.  Following lunch provided by the restaurant, those who take part will attend the Rotary Meeting with special guests, The Original Comets, now playing at the American Bandstand Theater.</p>
<p>The ceremony commemorates the 63rd anniversary of the birth of the atomic bomb and recognizes all veterans who have been exposed to radiation in the line of military duty.  In 2002, President George W. Bush declared July 16th as a national day for all military groups and veterans associated with nuclear programs.</p>
<p>Since July 16, 1945, 1,100+ nuclear weapon devices have been detonated by the U. S.  More than 900 atomic detonation tests were in the State of Nevada. Two underground tests were on the outskirts of Hattiesburg, Mississippi. Three were in the Aleutian Islands, while two  [...]]]></description>
