{"id":17921,"date":"2011-09-28T11:37:55","date_gmt":"2011-09-28T17:37:55","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/broadcast.branson.com\/?p=17921"},"modified":"2015-09-11T11:46:19","modified_gmt":"2015-09-11T17:46:19","slug":"churches-support-cam-with-food-drive-october-1-2011","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/broadcast.branson.com\/2011\/09\/28\/churches-support-cam-with-food-drive-october-1-2011\/","title":{"rendered":"Churches Support CAM with Food Drive &#8211; October 1, 2011"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h2>Churches Support CAM with Food Drive<\/h2>\n<p>September 28, 2011\u2026 On Saturday October 1<sup>st<\/sup>, a number of local churches are coming together to support the Christian Action Ministries\u2019 food pantries in Branson and Forsyth.\u00a0 According to CAM board member Larry Johnson, \u201cThis is a great way to start the Fall season by helping CAM to stock up our shelves at the pantries.\u00a0 CAM was founded by 11 churches over a quarter century ago and the continued support from area churches is critical to our longevity in serving those in need.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Donation stations in Branson and Hollister will be set up at the following grocery stores:<\/p>\n<p>Apple Market, manned by Branson Nazarene Church.<\/p>\n<p>Country Mart (North) by Our Lady of the Lakes Catholic Church.<\/p>\n<p>Country Mart (South) by Branson Christian Church.<\/p>\n<p>Harter House by Peace Lutheran Church.<\/p>\n<p>Sun Fest by Branson United Methodist Church.<\/p>\n<p>Additionally, there will be a donation station at the Forsyth Sav-a-Lot with volunteers from the Lutheran, Calvary Full Gospel, Presbyterian, and Methodist churches in Forsyth.<\/p>\n<p>Branson\u2019s WalMart Super Center will be the location of a donation station later in the month on October 29<sup>th<\/sup>.<\/p>\n<p>CAM is currently serving an average of over 800 families per month through their two pantries, as well as distributing another 140 deliveries of food to outlying areas on the first Wednesday of each month.
