Gresham, OR, June 8, 2010 — U.S. Sen. Jim DeMint, LTG Jerry Boykin, Dr. Stu Weber and LtCol Oliver North will be keynote speakers at a Freedom Congress event slated for Saturday, July 3, 9:30 a.m. at the College of the Ozarks.<\/p>\n
\u201cWe believe America\u2019s government has departed from the vision of our founders\u2014men like George Washington and John Adams,\u201d said Oliver North, author of American Heroes. \u201cWe are deeply concerned that the virtues and values proclaimed in our Declaration of Independence and our Constitution are being abandoned and we believe there is no better time to act\u2014than now.\u201d<\/p>\n
\u201cAll four of us raised our right hands and took an oath to support and defend our Constitution. Each of us has studied our founding documents. That\u2019s our perspective when we address issues of concern to every American including; individual responsibility and liberty, national sovereignty and defense, the stifling debt situation, and our ever expanding, more intrusive and expensive government bureaucracy.\u201d<\/p>\n
\u201cWe will deliver inspiring and educational information about how far we\u2019ve drifted from God and our founding principles as a nation and what we must do to get our country back on track,\u201d North said.<\/p>\n
The event will be held at the Keeter Gymnasium at the College of the Ozarks, Branson, MO. Registration is $10. Also appearing at the event will be recording artist Natalie Grant.<\/p>\n
