The Urban Cowboy Reunion Show Fulfills Mel Tillis\u2019 Schedule at Clay Cooper Theatre<\/p>\n
Kathy of Mel Tillis Enterprises has informed Clay Cooper that Mel Tillis will need more time to recover from his extensive surgery. \u201cMel is still on the mend. I have no doubt he will fully recover, just taking longer than expected or hoped.\u201d The family and friends of Mel Tillis would like to thank all the family, friends, and fans for the outpouring of love, support, and prayers as Mel continues to recover from his surgery.
\nAs Mel continues to get well, his good friends Mickey Gilley and Johnny Lee will be filling in for their friend at the Clay Cooper Theatre, celebrating their 35th Anniversary with the Urban Cowboy Reunion, October 3- December 1. These two country music legends will give you a night to remember as they bring back some of their chart topping songs completed with memories of the 1980 hit movie, Urban Cowboy. Gilley and Lee have earned an outstanding 38 Chart singles with 20 #1 hits including Gilley\u2019s \u201cRoom Full of Roses\u201d, \u201cDon\u2019t the Girls all Get Prettier at Closing Time,\u201d and Lee\u2019s \u201cCherokee Fiddle\u201d and \u201cLookin\u2019 for Love\u201d. Sharing 10 years of their music careers together, these two are sure to put on an evening of great music, fun memories, and incredible entertainment!
