{"id":55953,"date":"2016-08-29T08:05:28","date_gmt":"2016-08-29T14:05:28","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/broadcast.branson.com\/?p=55953"},"modified":"2018-03-28T14:56:57","modified_gmt":"2018-03-28T20:56:57","slug":"jackson-appleton-nominated-for-emmy-gold","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/broadcast.branson.com\/2016\/08\/29\/jackson-appleton-nominated-for-emmy-gold\/","title":{"rendered":"jackson + appleton nominated for EMMY\u00ae Gold"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>For the first time in their 40-year history, The Mid-America EMMY\u00ae Awards are coming to Branson, Missouri, and Branson-based Video Production Company, jackson+appleton has been honored with FOUR Regional Emmy\u00ae Nominations.<\/p>\n<p>As one of the nineteen regional chapters of the National Academy of Television Arts and Sciences, The Mid-America NATAS Chapter is the standard-bearer for excellence in the television broadcasting industry and the gatekeeper of the prestigious regional EMMY\u00ae Awards. The Mid-America Chapter includes television markets primarily in Missouri, Arkansas and Illinois.<\/p>\n<p>This year marked the first time jackson+appleton entered the EMMY\u00ae contest, and they are the ONLY Branson company to be nominated.<\/p>\n<p>The Dedication Ceremony of the College of the Ozarks\u2019 Missouri Vietnam Veterans Memorial earned jackson+appleton two EMMY\u00ae nods. Covering the event with 8-cameras directed live from a mobile production truck, j+a is nominated for an EMMY\u00ae in the Special Event Coverage (Non-Sports) Category. A second nomination for the dedication is in the Live Director Category for Show Director Robin Jackson.<\/p>\n<p>Produced for Branson\u2019s Visitor Information Channel, The Vacation Channel, jackson+appleton\u2019s original television show, \u201cEverything Outdoors,\u201d was nominated in the Informational\/ Instructional Program Category. Hosted by Bucky Heard, the show highlights the best of Branson\u2019s outdoor recreational activities.<\/p>\n<p>A documentary produced for White River Valley Electric Cooperative, \u201cfor LOVE of the LINE,\u201d earned jackson+appleton\u2019s Director of Photography, Nicholas Jay Appleton, an EMMY\u00ae nomination for Photographer. Following the lives of White River\u2019s electric linemen, \u201cfor Love of the Line\u201d was also honored earlier this year with the prestigious ADDY Best in Show Award by the regional chapter of the American Advertising Association.<\/p>\n<p>Owned by Robin Jackson and Nicholas Jay Appleton, jackson+appleton is a full service video production company serving Missouri and beyond.
