The Coast Guard Auxiliary will instruct \u201cAbout Boating Safely\u201d course hosted by Gibson Technical Center at Reeds Spring Schools. Three Thursday evening sessions will begin March 26, April 2, and April 9 from 6-9pm.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cAbout Boating Safely\u201d sessions includes a wide variety of information that applies to all recreational watercraft. You&#8217;ll learn:<\/p>\n<p>\u00b7    What to do in case of boating emergencies<\/p>\n<p>\u00b7    General information about boats and maintenance<\/p>\n<p>\u00b7    Information on preparing for safe and enjoyable outings<\/p>\n<p>\u00b7    Navigation rules and aids to navigation<\/p>\n<p>\u00b7    Guidelines for operating your boat or PWC safely<\/p>\n<p>\u00b7    State-specific laws and regulations you must follow<\/p>\n<p>When you successfully complete the three course sessions you\u2019ll earn a certificate and wallet card. This course meets the mandatory Missouri State Law requirement for anyone born after January 1, 1984 who wishes to operate a vessel on Missouri lakes. You may also be eligible for a reduced insurance rate.
