BRANSON, MO – Over 40 entertainers from some of Branson’s most popular and iconic live shows gathered at the Yakov Theater to create a truly showstopping Mannequin Challenge video that embodies the immense talent that graces the Branson stage on a daily basis.

The Mannequin Challenge is a viral internet trend that attempts to mimic the dynamic sequences in movies like “The Matrix” with individuals frozen in place throughout the entire filming process.

“Branson’s filled with unparalleled performers,” says Tammy Johnson, Vice President and General Manager of Branson Tourism Center. “We have world-class dancers, aerial acrobats, comedians, beautiful costuming, the greatest musicians and attractions…what could possibly make a more engaging video?”

Entertainers, theaters and attractions participating include: Shoji Tabuchi, The Baldknobbers, The Acrobats of China at the Yakov Theater, “it” starring The Hughes Brothers, Branson Zipline, The Duttons, Patsy Cline Remembered at the Americana Theatre, Down Home Country at Grand Country, Dublin’s Irish Tenors & Celtic Ladies at King’s Castle Theatre, Parakeet Pete’s Steampunk Balloon, Legends in Concert and The Bretts at Dick Clark’s American Bandstand Theater and The Petersen’s at the Little Opry Theatre.

A Fairy Tale Dream Come True

Branson, MO: The Butterfly Palace and Rainforest Adventure will be an even more magical place to visit on Sunday, March 22nd from noon to 4pm, for Princess Day, as the Princesses from Branson’s As You Wish Princess Parties will be stopping in for a visit.

“We are extremely excited for our princesses to visit The Butterfly Palace.”, Says Renee Eaton, owner of As You Wish Princess Parties. “Stepping into the building already feels like you’re stepping into a wondrous and magical place. It’s beautiful, and a perfect place to meet fairies and princesses.” She goes on to say, “Fairy tale princesses are known for their love of all creatures, great or small, and butterflies are no exception. In fact, you will probably see butterflies in just about every princess film, or illustration. They are perfect together as they are both symbols of hope, beauty, and kindness.”

Everyone is invited to meet their favorite princesses, who will take time to pose for pictures, sign autographs and give warm hugs. Among them will be Cinderella, Tinker Bell, Ariel, Belle, the Ice Queen and her sister, and more! Perhaps you will find them playing in the Rainforest Mirror Maze, saying hello to their Rainforest friends in the Science Center, or enjoying the peaceful beauty of all the free flying tropical butterflies in the Aviary! Little princesses are encouraged to wear their own beautiful princess gowns and spend a fun-filled afternoon with Fairy Tale Royalty exploring and learning about the rainforest.

Regular priced admission will be charged, however there is no additional fee to visit the princesses. Local prices will be valid for residents and employees of Stone and Taney Counties with proof of ID/Paystub.

Half marathon plus Roller Coaster Ride(SM)

Branson, MO – September 25, 2014 – Roller Coaster Race has partnered with Silver Dollar City and the city of Branson for a half marathon, 5K, kids mile and Roller Coaster Ride(SM) taking place at both the theme park and Branson Landing on October 11-12, 2014.

This exciting partnership aims to encourage fitness and entertainment for the whole family by holding professional, USATF-sanctioned running events for all skills and ages in conjunction with the completely unique roller coaster event, Roller Coaster Ride(SM).

Starting Saturday, Oct. 11th, the Roller Coaster Ride(SM) will be held for roller coaster enthusiasts and non-runners. During this exclusive experience, participants ride a total distance of 5K on roller coasters to win a medal. Coaster rides will be tracked throughout the day on Silver Dollar City’s six coasters during normal operating hours.

Also on Saturday, the family-oriented 5K run/walk starts at 7AM and is available for runners and walkers of all ages. The kids’ mile starts at 8AM for kids up to age 12. A pasta dinner party will take place in the park that evening at 6:30PM with Eric Johnson of UltraMax Sports Springfield as guest speaker.

On Sunday, Oct. 12th, the Roller Coaster Race half marathon will run through the streets of Branson, starting and finishing at bustling Branson Landing.

Participants can register for one, two or all events.

The Roller Coaster Race is fundraising for the following charities: the Ozark Mountain Family YMCA, The Caring People, and the SYTA Running for Youth program. In addition to being able to fundraise for those organizations, people can donate to the charities during event registration.

Adam Slate, Roller Coaster Race Director, says of the event, “Silver Dollar City is one of the friendliest and most unique theme parks in America, and the City of Branson has a vast range of activities from theaters to museums to ziplines to parks and hiking trails. Families are going to have trouble fitting everything into one weekend!”

“We have a variety of coasters for adventure-seeking participants, including the groundbreaking wood coaster Outlaw Run, named the Best New Ride of 2013 worldwide,” said Nick Guevel, Director of Marketing for Silver Dollar City. “Coaster riders can experience Outlaw Run plus the launch coaster PowderKeg, the looping steel coaster WildFire and more, all to benefit kids and families.”

Branson Segway & Adventure Center has received TripAdvisor’s Certificate of Excellence award. The certificate, which honors exceptional guest care, is given only to businesses that consistently achieve outstanding traveler reviews on TripAdvisor.com. Guest reviews and ratings are the deciding factor for the award.

“Winning this certificate means so much because it is based on guest feedback,” said Steve Hager, Manager of the Branson Segway & Adventure Center attraction. “Riding a Segway is a fun experience, and it is great to be recognized for the experience and staff service.”

To be eligible for the Certificate of Excellence, businesses must maintain an overall TripAdvisor rating of at least four out of five. Customer reviews, volume of reviews, and popularity ranking on the site are also taken into consideration. Now in it’s second season of business, Branson Segway & Adventure Center has maintained an overall five out of five rating.

The award also reflects the crew’s commitment to guest satisfaction. “The staff truly cares about the safety and enjoyment of the guests,” said Hager. “I think our visitors recognize that.”
