After Glow Concerts

“After Glow”, a southern gospel music concert series presented by The Downing Street Boys Quartet will begin Sunday, April 5, and will continue the first Sunday evening of each month through the summer.
The concerts are free to all and will be held at theChad A. Fuqua Memorial Park located next to City Hall in Hollister, Missouri.

The concerts will begin at 8 P.M. and were designed to allow Sunday evening churchgoers
to attend their home church and still hear the singing in its entirety, hence the title “After Glow”.

The concert series is the brainchild of bass singer Mark McCauley who envisioned an hour or so of great old gospel songs performed by just a quartet with a piano accompaniment. The Downing Street Boys are Trey Wilson who, along with McCauley, are regular members of the Grand Country’s New South Quartet, Ronnie Page, former Oak Ridge Boys and Chuck Wagon Gang member, David Ponder of the Branson Brothers Show and Lucas Case, former pianist for the famous Stamps Quartet. Attendees are encouraged to bring their blankets and lawn chairs. Food service will be provided by Famous Dave’s Barbeque.

You are cordially invited to play a vital role in one of the most prestigious affairs scheduled during 2009 – the 13th annual Military Gala & Banquet which is scheduled for Sunday evening, November 8, 2009. This event, hosted by the POW Network, is held annually during Branson’s Veterans Homecoming Week.

We are proud to note that this year marks our 20th year in service, speaking for those who cannot speak for themselves – our nation’s POWs and MIAs. For two decades we have dedicated our lives to the vital role of educating the public regarding the plight of those held prisoner or missing in action long after battlefield conflicts have ended. The Gala provides us with an annual opportunity to highlight this work and focus the thoughts and prayers of our community on this effort.

We know times are tough. That doesn’t stop our military from serving, nor does it preclude our veterans from deserving all the gratitude and appreciation we can shower upon them.

Your sponsorship will make the GALA an event of elegance and beautiful memories. The evening is filled with military protocol and ceremonies paying tribute to the hundreds of former veterans and current active duty military personnel who attend, as well as honoring those who cannot be with us. Veterans from every branch of the military and every era are among our 600+ attendees who treasure the memories and the bonds made in military service. Many come back year after year.

In addition to our deepest gratitude, sponsors’ benefits include advertising on the 1500 formal invitations which are mailed in late May, a full-page advertisement in the evening’s commemorative program, on-going recognition on the POW NETWORK website as well as in an abundance of printed materials, and recognition during the GALA ceremony itself. Those sponsors donating $1000 or more receive a reserved table for ten guests of their choosing.

We invite you to become a sponsor of this most worthy of events. Past sponsors have included many of Branson’s stage shows, properties and businesses, as well as nationwide corporations and prominent public figures. Please consider joining this elite group of past and present sponsors by becoming a sponsor yourself. Salute our nation’s past veterans as well as our active service members with a sponsorship which will reflect your respect and admiration for all they have done and continue to do in serving our country.
Please take a few moments to read the attached sponsorship information. Pledge your sponsorship now to maximize the year’s advertising. Full payment is due by October 1, 2009.

Our veterans will appreciate your sponsorship, and we humbly thank you for your time and consideration.
