Clint Black has long been heralded as one of County music’s brightest stars. The Lennon Sisters are an American Institution, first introduced to the country by Lawrence Welk. Glamorous, yet unpretentious; Sophisticated, yet down to earth; Famous, yet approachable. No wonder America Loves the Lennon Sisters…they are the girls next door. For 13 years on the Lawrence Welk Show, Dianne, Peggy, Kathy and Janet charmed the nation with their sweet-voiced harmonies. They were dubbed “America’s Sweethearts of Song”. They have sung for seven Presidents, performed with nearly every major star in Hollywood, and were welcomed into millions of homes across America every Saturday night. The girls were awarded their own Star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame, and they were inducted into the National Vocal Group Hall of Fame. When Dianne and Peggy retired, their younger sister Mimi joined them in 1999. “New Faces in Branson, Entertainment Legends
The Lettermen Call Andy Williams Moon River Theatre Home”

The harmonious voices of The Lettermen first hit the music charts in 1961 with the megahit, The Way You Look Tonight.
The soft, romantic ballad shot to No. 13 on the Billboard chart. The group’s second single that year did even better. When I Fall in Love hit No. 7, establishing the trio as the most romantic singing group of the 1960s and they became one of the top college concert attractions of the decade.
The Lettermen have been recording and performing continuously for over Fifty years and will be appearing at 8 p.m., Tuesday through Saturday, October 7 through 18 at The Andy Williams Moon River Theatre.
The current group consists of Tony Butala, the group’s founding original member, Donovan Tea, an accomplished singer and songwriter who has been an important member of the group for over thirty years, and Bobby Poynton, who first joined in 1989 and has recently returned.
The trio has produced more than 70 albums eighteen certified gold worldwide, four of them being The Lettermen…And Live (1967), Goin’ Out of My Head (1968), Best of the Lettermen (1969) and Hurt So Bad (1970).
Among the group’s more recent albums are “The Lettermen Greatest Movie Hits”, “The Lettermen Best Of Broadway” and “The Lettermen Live In The Philippines”.
The Lettermen have performed at more than 10,000 sold-out shows. Their tours abroad have included visits to Japan, the Philippines, Thailand, Singapore, Hong Kong, France, Mexico and Saudi Arabia.
The group also toured with George Burns, Jack Benny, Bob Hope and Bill Cosby. Butala estimates that they made over 200 appearances on television shows such as Dick Clark’s American Bandstand and on variety shows with Johnny Carson, Mike Douglas, Merv Griffin and others.

Clay Cooper Theatre Welcomes Chris Perondi’s Stunt Dog Experience this Summer, 2014!

Branson, MO. Clay Cooper has announced that Clay Cooper Theatre will add Chris Perondi’s Stunt Dog Experience to the summer line-up for 2014. Chris and his incredible cast of canines have put together an incredible two hour show with amazing acrobats, dizzy dancing, high jumping, incredible obstacles and much more! Chris is excited to be a part of the Clay Cooper family and has been busy preparing new sets and obstacles for his professional pooches. Chris is joined by four other trainers to ensure proper training, nutrition, and preparation to make sure our three-sided stage remains a safe environment for all the dogs as they move from one portion of the show to another.
Clay Cooper commented, “I am excited to have Chris and his ‘crew’ at our theatre this year. I went to visit him last year and couldn’t believe what these dogs could do. I can’t even get my dog to sit! But really, Chris handles his dogs like family and you can tell by the way they constantly run to him and want to play, even when the show is over! AND, it shows in the performance of these dogs, too. I can’t wait to see what Chris has in store for us at the theatre…my kids can’t wait either!” Chris is a strong supporter of animal rescue and, in fact, each superstar on his stage has been rescued!
Silver Dollar City featured Chris and his incredible cast of canines during Kids Fest the last couple years. He has travelled all over the United States for special events and private parties. Chris and his canines will be featured in the Rose Bowl Parade January 1st on the Lucy Pet Foundation float. Chris has enjoyed the Branson community and would like to stay here for more years to come!

Clay Cooper is thrilled to announce The Haygoods will be performing three nights a week, Tuesday, Thursday, and Saturday at 7:30pm and a few matinees at 2pm in the Spring and Fall at the Clay Cooper Theatre for the 2014 season. Clay Cooper and his wife Tina took ownership of the Clay Cooper Theatre in 2010 from Jimmy Osmond. Together, the wedded duo has worked hard to make each residing show feel equally important as part of the Clay Cooper Theatre family. Clay Cooper said, “Tim, Patrick, Dom, Michael, and Matthew have been great friends of mine for years, and I feel like I’ve watched their little sister, Catherine, grow up on stage! I think this is an excellent opportunity for both of our shows at this time.
