A rare opportunity to see recording artists Dionne Warwick and B.J. Thomas appearing on the same show is the next event being presented in a series of special events at RFD-TV The Theatre in Branson. This extraordinary limited engagement is scheduled for Friday, September 18th and Saturday, September 19th with shows at 8:00 p.m. each evening.
“I have always wanted to get these two artists together for a concert,” said producer and promoter Joe Sullivan. “There have been so many parallels in their careers. Both had their early success on the same label, Scepter Records. They both had major hits with Burt Bacharach-Hal David songs, both sold millions of records, had numerous top-ten hits and won several Grammy Awards. This is going to be a concert with back to back top-ten hits from start to finish. I encourage everyone to get tickets early for the best seats.”
Dionne Warwick has, over an illustrious four-decade career, established herself as an international musical legend. Her reputation as a hit maker has been firmly etched into public consciousness, thanks to nearly sixty charted hits since “Don’t Make Me Over” began its climb up the charts in December 1962. As a performer, she has charmed and entertained audiences on every continent, amassing a worldwide audience.
Dionne Warwick received her first Grammy Award in 1968 (for the classic “Do You Know The Way to San Jose?”), and during the next three decades won Grammys for her performances with “I’ll Never Fall in Love Again,” “Dejà Vu,” “I’ll Never Love This Way Again,” “That’s What Friends Are For,” with “Don’t Make Me Over,” “Walk on By”
and “Alfie” all going into the Grammy Hall of Fame. Dionne has starred in numerous television specials and series as well as major motion pictures.
During the four decades B.J. Thomas has performed, he has sold more than 70 million records, earned 2 Platinum records, had 11 Gold records, won 5 Grammy Awards, 2 Dove Awards for Gospel Recordings and 15 Top 40 Pop/Rock Hits including “Raindrops Keep Fallin’ On My Head,” “Eyes of a New York Woman,” “Hooked On A Feeling,” “Rock and Roll Lullaby,” and “I Just Can’t Help Believing.” B.J. has also had 10 Top 40 Country Chart Hits which include “(Hey Won’t You Play) Another Somebody Done Somebody Wrong Song”, “Whatever Happened To Old Fashioned Love” and “Two Car Garage” along with many other achievements.
Tickets for the Dionne Warwick-B.J. Thomas concert are priced at $49.50 and $59.50 including tax and are on sale now at RFD-TV The Theatre, at various Branson area ticket outlets, by phone at 417-332-2282 and online at www.rfdtv.com and www.sullivanshows.com.

The Hughes American Family Theatre is pleased to announce the addition of famed guitarist JimGreeninger to their theatre line-up.
Jim Greeninger studied with legendary guitarist Andres Segovia, debuted at Carnegie Recital Hall, and was the first guitarist to be invited to teach at the Juilliard School of Music. With over two million views on YouTube, and holding the number one spot in the category of Classical Guitar,
(over 155,000 videos posted), Jim Greeninger is one of the top guitarists in the world today.
Theatre owner Jason Hughes exclaimed, “We are so fortunate to have such a gifted performer here at our theatre. I am simply amazed at Jim’s versatility! Not only is he a master of classical music, but also moves through all styles of music on his guitar, from jazz to country to gospel
and more with equal ease and finesse.”
Greeninger’s show opens August 5, 2009 at the Hughes American Family Theatre. Show times are Tue-Fri starting at 5:15 PM and ending at 6:45 PM. Dinner is also available. Local residents are invited to attend Area Appreciation Shows August 11 – 14 at $5 per ticket.
Besides being a superb guitarist in all styles of music, Jim Greeninger also hand builds some incredible guitars. Guests will experience his “50 foot guitar.” If you sit off to the right or left, it sounds as if the guitar is moving; in the center you are surrounded by all six strings and a fifty foot wall of sound; in the balcony the sound comes alive from all directions. And yet all of this sounds purely acoustic. This is truly an incredible sound experience.
Tickets can be obtained by calling or stopping by the theatre box office at:
