The Keeter Center Presents “1st Annual Afternoon tea” @ the Ralph Foster Museum located at College of the Ozarks July 26, 2014

Join us at The Keeter Center for another delightful “Afternoon Tea”. A tour of the Landscaping Department will follow the Tea, giving you an opportunity to purchase beautiful potted plants grown by the Students at College of the Ozarks. Reservations are required and can be made by contacting the Keeter Center at 417-690-2120 or emailing the request to [email protected].

The Taneycomo Festival Orchestra announces that it will be giving its 2014 season concerts June 16-28 at venues throughout Branson and Hollister. This summer’s season features 2 symphony orchestra concerts, 7 chamber music concerts, 1 pops concert, 1 family concert, and 1 collaborative art show/concert with the White River Art Alliance. Three of these concerts feature saxophone music including performances by the Mana Quartet, TFSQ (Taneycomo Festival Saxophone Quartet), and the TFSO (Taneycomo Festival Saxophone Orchestra. TFO will also introduce the TFO Guitar Ensemble. The pops concert will feature Jeff Brooks, clarinetist of ClarinetMonsteR, a unique program that features the tunes of Benny Goodman, Artie Shaw, and other jazz greats with the classical music that inspired them. Other concerts will feature French music, the music of W.A. Mozart, and new music composed for this summer’s festival.

About the Taneycomo Festival Orchestra: The Taneycomo Festival Orchestra is a nonprofit organization that provides a free two-week concert series of orchestral and chamber music in Branson, Missouri. We seek to break the 19th century tradition that attending an art music concert is a formal and elitist event by providing an accessible and casual series of concerts and educational programs while continuing to preserve these great works of art in our destination city. The Vietnam Veterans Memorial, known as “The Wall,” will be on display and open to the public for viewing at the Welk Resort Branson during the 2014 Memorial Day Weekend May 23-26, 2014.

Though the Welk Resort has displayed “The Wall” for the past 17 years during the Veteran’s Homecoming Celebration in November, this will be the first time the memorial has been erected for Memorial Day.

The official, half-scale replica of the Vietnam Veterans Memorial, lists the names of those who gave their lives during the Vietnam War, and is the most visited memorial in Washington, D.C. The Wall is available for public viewing during daylight hours May 23-26. A special locator book will be available to assist visitors in finding specific names.

Easter Sunrise Service Outdoors

Join us to celebrate “Jesus Lives” on Easter Sunday morning, April 20, 6:30 a.m., outdoors at the Lindwedel Winegarden, located ½ mile north of Hwy 376 & 265. Join us in singing Easter Victory music, and rejoice in the clear Gospel message of Easter shared by Pastor Dar Karsten.

Pastor Dar leads Praise and Worship Ministries in worship each Sunday at 10:00 a.m. also at the Lindwedel Winegarden. Praise and Worship Ministries is a Christ-centered, Disciple-making Community working to bring people into a living and growing relationship with Jesus and a Christian Community.

A Light breakfast will follow the Worship Celebration—everyone is invited to this worship and fellowship on Easter morning. Invite your friends, especially those who do not have a Christian Community connection!
