The Liverpool Legends return to my show for a chat and announcement that the band will be finishing this season in Branson at the Starlite Theatre and moving to the Manson in 2010. The band has toured the world, playing in historic venues such as Carnegie Hall, The Cavern Club in Liverpool, recording at the famed Abbey Road Studios in London and performing with Denny Laine (co-founder of Wings with Paul McCartney), Pete Best (the original Beatles drummer) and the Boston Pops. They appeared on The Travel Channel’s “Beatlemania Britain” and headlined International Beatles Week in Liverpool where 100,000 Beatles fans jammed Victoria Street to hear them in concert,” said Williams, the star and creator of the “Gene Williams Country TV Show.”

BRANSON, MO – September 22, 2009 – Branson Landing is tremendously excited to announce their Concert Series Grand Finale Event for the 2009 Season – kicking off at 8:00 PM on Friday, September 25th. The local community and visitors are invited to join us in Branson Landing’s Town Square for an evening full of Stars, Great Music and Fireworks!

The evening’s events will include an entertainment lineup showcasing some of the amazing STARS located right here in Branson, MO, featuring Clay Cooper & Clay Cooper’s Country Music Express with Special Guest Star performances by Collin Raye, Barbara Fairchild, Roy Rogers, Jr., The World Famous Platters and the Liverpool Legends.

“Throughout the event, the night skies will “Light Up” with entertainment provided by some of Branson’s Star Power plus an extraordinary Fireworks Spectacular, produced and presented by the American Pyrotechnics Association,” stated Tammy Scholten, Director of Marketing. “We’re thrilled that the APA convention has selected Branson Landing as one of the locations to showcase their fireworks displays and look forward to welcoming all of their members while in Branson during their 61st annual convention. And, we’re extremely
proud to showcase some of the amazing talent and STARS we have right here in Branson, on our stage that evening – right in front of the Branson Landing Fountains,” said Scholten.

According to APA Executive Director Julie L. Heckman, “We are delighted to bring our annual convention to Branson, where we have felt so welcome with that beloved Midwest Missouri spirit. Missouri is a fireworks-friendly state, joining only a handful of other states nationwide that allow the full array of consumer fireworks, stringently regulated by the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission, for sale and use by the
general public. We look forward to our time in Branson and we hope to delight the community with amazing, memorable fireworks that leave a lasting impression for all! Please join us and see what the premier trade association of the fireworks industry, APA, has to offer,” said Heckman.

This unforgettable fireworks display will include a “close proximity” rooftop display and more, all choreographed to a lively “gaming” theme with a grand finale on the waterfront – fired from a barge on Lake Taneycomo, featuring a tribute to “Beatles Love” – followed by an unforgettable LIVE performance from the Liverpool Legends.

“All of the entertainment and fireworks displays will be near the Landing’s signature Fountains and this one-of-a-kind choreographed show is sure to WOW both young and young-at-heart, as it builds to an awe-inspiring Gateway Fireworks Signature Grand Finale on the waterfront – not soon to be forgotten,” concluded Scholten. BRANSON, MO, August 28, 2009 – It’s a labor of love this Labor Day weekend at Branson’s premiere shopping and dining destination, the Branson Landing. Established in 2006, the Branson Landing continues its commitment to the community as a philanthropic supporter of a variety of local, state, regional and national charities. The upcoming holiday weekend will be filled with a host of family-fun, fundraising events and activities slated to support the National Muscular Dystrophy Association’s (MDA) Annual Telethon.

Unlike a typical fund-raising drive, Branson Landing’s activities promise to offer unique opportunities for families and friends to support the MDA while being entertained, enjoying a host of activities and indulging in the area’s finest foods. “With three jam-packed days of events, concerts and specials, we are hoping that the community will come out and help us support the MDA’s efforts to eradicate neuromuscular diseases,” stated Tammy Scholten, Director of Marketing for the Landing. “There are more than one million Americans inflicted with this muscle wasting disease, so chances are many of us know of someone who has been touched by this
crippling illness. Throughout the holiday weekend of events at Branson Landing, we will provide a way for the local community and tourists to get involved,” concluded Scholten.

The three-day fundraiser kicks off on Saturday, September 5th with daily activities scheduled throughout the weekend, including food specials from Shorty Small’s with BBQ sandwiches and more in Town Square, Funnel Cakes on the Landing, Cotton Candy Kids, Ben & Jerry’s, Jammin’ Java, Branson Ridge Winery and more – all donating a portion of their proceeds to the fund-raising efforts throughout the weekend.

Other weekend activities include huge inflatables provided by Monkey Moe’s. For a $1 to $2 donation, children can jump for Jerry’s Kids in Branson Landing’s Town Square. If you are looking for some adventure, take a sight-seeing cruise with Ride the Ducks, where “Riding a Duck Gives Jerry’s Kids a Buck” or jump on board one of the Branson Landing Cruises and enjoy Ozark Mountain Sightseeing Cruises on Lake Taneycomo aboard the Lake Queen Paddlewheel Boat or the Landing Princess. These locations at Branson Landing, will each be donating $1 per ticket sold on select days (Saturday through Monday) during the Labor Day weekend. In addition, the CBS television affiliate KOLR 10 with Anchor Tom Trtan, will be on property, broadcasting select events on Sunday and Monday, for local viewers to enjoy.

Don’t miss the Labor Day Weekend Concert Series benefiting MDA & Jerry’s Kids, where we invite Concert goers, to “Take a Seat and Take a Stand Against Muscle Disease” by offering a special VIP Seating Section, with 250 chairs positioned in the amphitheater area in front of the fountains for stage level viewing of each concert. Participation is $5 – $10 a seat, per concert with 100% of the proceeds directly benefiting the local MDA Chapter and Jerry’s Kids.

The MDA Concert Series kicks off on Saturday afternoon with two FREE live concerts at 12:30PM and 4:00PM by the UNDERGROUND BLUES DIVISION, a Powerhouse Blues/Rock Band from Branson, MO, featuring the phenomenal talents of 23 year old Stratslinger, Nathan Keck. THE NACE BROTHERS, a musically unstoppable band, touring 220 dates and logging over 50,000 miles a year, will be back in the Branson area – performing LIVE at the Branson Landing on Saturday evening at 8PM. Twenty-eight years later, they’re still going strong with three original members – David Nace, Jimmy Nace and Tim Williams, plus their newest member, T.J. Erhardt. Authentic versatility and twenty plus years experience, as well as eighteen years of working with Jimmy Buffett and occasionally opening shows and performing at Margaritaville, The Nace Brothers have developed an original sound that’s all their own, setting the standard for roots rock and roll
music.

Back by popular demand, CHAIN REACTION, a five-member tribute band to Journey, will perform at Sunday’s 8PM concert. Referred to as one of the best tribute bands in the country, CHAIN REACTION will take audiences back with those great Journey hits like “Separate Ways”, “Don’t Stop Believing”, “Faithfully” and “Open Arms.” Join us for all of these great concerts and “Take a Seat for Jerry’s Kids.”

The festivities come to an exciting culmination on Labor Day with The American Kids. The American Kids are a “Little League of Entertainers” who share their talent of singing and dancing with their local communities. Join them as they “Dance the Day Away for MDA” to raise money for Jerry’s Kids. The dance-a-thon will begin at 10AM with performances scheduled throughout the day until 5PM.

Join us at Branson Landing this Labor Day weekend for a fun-filled time in honor of Jerry’s Kids. For a complete listing of the Labor Day Weekend Schedule of Events benefiting MDA, visit www.bransonlanding.com.
