A ceremony to honor the Four Chaplains of the U.S.A.T. Dorchester who courageously gave up their life jackets to the troops that mournful day. As the ship sank the four chaplains stood arm in arm in prayer. The ceremony will be held at First Christian Church of Kimberling City at 6:00 PM, Sunday February 13. Chaplain(MAJ) Don Carothers, the head chaplain for the Command and General Staff College at Ft. Leavenworth will be the speaker.

Due Air Force requirements and scheduling the US Air Force Band of Mid America will be performing at Factory Merchants, Branson (Reed Roofs)November 9 at 2:00 p.m. (1400 hrs) instead of November 7th.

On November 9th from 11 AM – 1 PM the Branson Veterans Task Force Women Veterans Committee will be hosting the 6th annual Rose Petal Memorial and Women Veterans Appreciation Luncheon. Located at the Keeter Center on the College of the Ozarks campus. The speakers are Cindy Stivers, Missouri Veterans Commission and CMSgt Stephanie Cardozo, from Scott Air Force Base, Illinois. Reservations are required for lunch, $20.00 in advance and $25.00 the day of the event. Contact Barb Riggle at 417-337-8387 to make reservations.

Vietnam Veterans of America, Branson Chapter 913 members gather for breakfast or coffee and conversation on the second Saturday of each month at the Golden Corral on Shepherd of the Hills Expressway. Breakfast is purchased in the meeting room instead of the front and coffee is available. So any veteran of any era come join us for some friendship and commraderie. We gather at 9 a.m. in the show room.
