RIDE THE DUCKS SALUTES VETERANS

THIS FALL IN BRANSON

Branson, MO (September 2, 2008) – Ride The Ducks is saluting Veterans this fall in Branson! From September 3, 2008 through November 16, 2008, Veterans will be celebrated with a patriotic salute and a special ticket offer. All Veterans, Active Duty Military, National Guard and Reserves buy 3 tickets and get 1 free.

While Ride The Ducks is proud to honor Veterans every day of the year, this celebration brings out the red, white and blue with a star-spangled land and lake sightseeing adventure. Quack along to patriotic and military music, see historic military vehicles, ride an amphibious DUKW and experience a heart-felt salute to our service men and women.

Veterans will be saluted at both Ride The Ducks locations in Branson. Enjoy a 60-minute excursion through historic Downtown Branson and splash into Lake Taneycomo for a ducks eye view of Branson Landing or set out on a 70-minute adventure that includes cruising Branson’s 76 Country Music Boulevard, fantastic Ozark views from high atop Baird Mountain and a fun-filled splashdown into Table Rock Lake. The Downtown/Lake Taneycomo excursion departs Branson Landing from the Ride The Ducks kiosk near Bass Pro. The Table Rock Lake/Baird Mountain adventure departs the Ride The Ducks dock at 2320 West Highway 76, just west of Wal-Mart on the 76 strip.

Ride The Ducks, the nation’s largest amphibious sightseeing company, offers unique land and water adventures that are fun, informative and family friendly. United States Coast Guard licensed Captains entertain guests with stories that you won’t want to miss. It’s the best way for Veterans to enjoy the sights, sounds and history of the Branson area.

Robby Hultz, Ride The Ducks General Manager in Branson, says, “We are very proud of our veterans and wanted to designate a special time this fall to say thank you for their dedication and service to our country.”

The Ride The Ducks amphibious vehicle is based on the famous WWII DUKW design and all vehicles are United States Coast Guard certified. Ride The Ducks heritage stems from the brave men who boarded these amphibious vehicles in WWII to serve the United States of America and the women, like Rosie the Riveter, who built these amazing vehicles while the men were off to war.

Ride The Ducks International has entertained millions of guests in the United States with owned operations in Branson, Baltimore and Philadelphia and licensed operations in San Francisco, Seattle, Stone Mountain Park, Georgia and Newport, Kentucky. Ride The Ducks International is a subsidiary of Herschend Family Entertainment (HFE). HFE owns numerous entertainment venues, including Silver Dollar City, Showboat Branson Belle and Celebration City in Branson, MO.

Direct from London, England – International Piano-Entertainer Jon England (yes, from England) returns to Branson’s Caravelle Theatre Tuesday to Saturday at 2 p.m. in “Royally Entertained”.

His gorgeously-featured, Golden-Age style musical entertainment show combines song-and-dance, Virtuoso Piano-playing, Jon’s own brand of gentle, self-deprecating humor, THREE pianos, some fine guitar playing, unique English video-insights plus a “Royal” guest and outrageous Emcee who will ‘flabber-your-ghast’!

From winning outright the Legendary Las Vegas “Showmanship” Championship Competition – Jon’s unique contribution in the second half of his show is to play as many of his audience’s own musical requests as time allows.

Having delighted millions of Americans already at the Carolina Opry in Myrtle Beach since 2003, his sunny demeanor and charming elegance on stage will put you in mind of Cary Grant-meets-Floyd Cramer (with scintillatingly-brilliant touches of Liberace’s flamboyant stylings thrown in for good measure)

Rarely stumped for a requested tune, Jon’s show never misses a beat as he moves from Broadway’s “Memory” (from ‘Cats’), George Gershwin’s “Rhapsody In Blue”, Sinatra’s “New York, New York” and classic favorites by Frederic Chopin – to his very own “Branson Boogie-Woogie”, “The Wind Beneath My Wings”, Scott Joplin’s “The Entertainer” and Hollywood’s “Love Story” among many, many others.
His moving Finale tribute to his adopted Country (“Rhapsody In Red, White and Blue”) has audiences standing with a handkerchief, so come prepared!

At $23 a ticket, Jon’s is one of the BEST bargains in Branson right now – call 334 5100 for ticket availability and the best seats in the house. Be prepared for a moving, dazzling afternoon of entertainment you’ll talk about long after the show is over – you’ll want to tell all your friends about it – guaranteed!

Officially rated “G”, for GREAT.
