Branson, MO   65616

On Monday, September 29, 2008, the Circle B is professionally video-recording their cowboy music and comedy supper show. “We need your help to make this video great,” says Louis Darby, two-time Louisiana state fiddle champion. Louis goes on, “We want all of our fans to be there, so we created a special $5.25 rate for those in the know.”
“Our fans have been clamoring for a recording to capture the fun and spontaneity of our live show for some time,” says Papa Kemp Horn, “and this is just the right time to do it.” The “timing” Kemp refers to is several public broadcasting stations that have recently expressed an interest in broadcasting the show.
This show will probably start a few minutes early and end a few minutes late. It may feature an extra fiddle tune or two, and some music the Riders of the Circle B haven’t played in awhile. “All are welcome. We want to fill up the house for this special show,” says John Fullerton, Branson’s singing cowboy.
This special reduced rate of $5.25 each is only redeemable online at Ticketmaster.com or by calling 1-877-BRANSON.

Johnny Lee in Concert
417-335-4400
2206 W. Hwy. 76
Branson, MO   65616

“Lookin’ for Love” Johnny Lee with his Urban Cowboy Band opened Sept. 2 at 8 p.m. at the new Gene Williams Showcase Theatre inside the Branson Mall on the world famous Highway 76. Tickets are only $15 a person.

With that opening Lee made Branson entertainment history – it is the first time he has had his own show in the live entertainment capital although he has guest starred in other Branson shows. Lee and his Urban Cowboy Band will perform Monday-Saturday at 8 p.m. through December. Tickets are on sale now at the theatre’s box office. Call 417-335-4400.

From having his own band in high school to participating in the film that is said to have started the 1980’s boom in country music, Lee is a member of the Texas Country Music Hall of Fame. After high school, he took time out to serve his country in the Navy, then worked with his friend Mickey Gilley and appeared in several television roles. It was then that he was asked to perform in the film, “Urban Cowboy.”

His “Lookin’ For Love” from that film and soundtrack, which went platinum, spent three weeks at the top of the Billboard country music singles charts as #1 and #2 on the pop music singles charts. He followed that with a string of Top 10 hits and numerous television appearances such as “Fantasy Island,” “ChiPS,” “The Fall Guy” and “The A-Team.”

He has recorded several albums and is at work now on a completely new CD, yet untitled, on which he will have a duet with Crystal Gayle.

He recently took part in Frizzell and Friends, in which many of David Frizzell’s friends including Merle Haggard, T. Graham Brown, Helen Cornelius, Johnny Rodriguez, Jeanne Seely, Lacy J. Dalton and Gene Watson gathered in the studio in Nashville for “This Is Our Time.” The get together will air next week on RFD-TV.

In late August Lee continued with his many appearances on the Grand Ole Opry where host Trace Adkins introduced him as “one of my heroes.” Lee sang his hits “Lookin’ for Love” and “Cherokee Fiddle.”

His other hits include “One In A Million,” “Bet Your Heart On Me,” “The Yellow Rose (a duet with Lane Brody),” “You Could’ve Heard a Heart Break,” “Pickin’ Up Strangers,” “Prisoner of Hope,” “Be There for Me Baby,” “Sounds Like Love,” “Hey Bartender” and “Rollin’ Lonely.”

Lee continues his busy touring schedule and a few dates during his September through December run at the Gene Williams Showcase Theatre are booked on the road. For Lee who is an avid golfer many of those dates include benefit golf tournaments. Recently Lee participated in the 2008 Hootie & the Blowfish Monday after the Masters Celebrity Pro-Am Golf Tournament in Hilton Head, S.C. Funds were raised for the Hootie & The Blowfish Foundation which supports the South Carolina Junior Golf Foundation and the educational needs of children in South Carolina. Lee also recently helped raise funds for the Lions Club in Gallup, N.M.

This fall Lee will participate in Houston’s Project Joy and Hope with a concert and the eighth annual Johnny Lee’s Country Swinging Golf Classic. Project Joy and Hope has as its mission to serve children with life-limiting illnesses and their families.

In between working on his new CD, golfing and touring, Lee has been busy promoting and rehearsing for his three month run at the Gene Williams Showcase Theatre.

About the amazing $15 ticket, Lee said, “This price for my concert is for my fans. I set a recession proof price. In spite of rising prices and no matter what the price of fuel, I am sticking with a $15 ticket for anyone who wants to see my Branson show.”

THIS FALL IN BRANSON

Branson, MO (September 2, 2008) – Ride The Ducks is saluting Veterans this fall in Branson! Robby Hultz, Ride The Ducks General Manager in Branson, says, “We are very proud of our veterans and wanted to designate a special time this fall to say thank you for their dedication and service to our country.”

The Ride The Ducks amphibious vehicle is based on the famous WWII DUKW design and all vehicles are United States Coast Guard certified. Ride The Ducks heritage stems from the brave men who boarded these amphibious vehicles in WWII to serve the United States of America and the women, like Rosie the Riveter, who built these amazing vehicles while the men were off to war.

Direct from London, England – International Piano-Entertainer Jon England (yes, from England) returns to Branson’s Caravelle Theatre Tuesday to Saturday at 2 p.m. in “Royally Entertained”.

His gorgeously-featured, Golden-Age style musical entertainment show combines song-and-dance, Virtuoso Piano-playing, Jon’s own brand of gentle, self-deprecating humor, THREE pianos, some fine guitar playing, unique English video-insights plus a “Royal” guest and outrageous Emcee who will ‘flabber-your-ghast’!

From winning outright the Legendary Las Vegas “Showmanship” Championship Competition – Jon’s unique contribution in the second half of his show is to play as many of his audience’s own musical requests as time allows.

Having delighted millions of Americans already at the Carolina Opry in Myrtle Beach since 2003, his sunny demeanor and charming elegance on stage will put you in mind of Cary Grant-meets-Floyd Cramer (with scintillatingly-brilliant touches of Liberace’s flamboyant stylings thrown in for good measure)

Rarely stumped for a requested tune, Jon’s show never misses a beat as he moves from Broadway’s “Memory” (from ‘Cats’), George Gershwin’s “Rhapsody In Blue”, Sinatra’s “New York, New York” and classic favorites by Frederic Chopin – to his very own “Branson Boogie-Woogie”, “The Wind Beneath My Wings”, Scott Joplin’s “The Entertainer” and Hollywood’s “Love Story” among many, many others.
His moving Finale tribute to his adopted Country (“Rhapsody In Red, White and Blue”) has audiences standing with a handkerchief, so come prepared!

At $23 a ticket, Jon’s is one of the BEST bargains in Branson right now – call 334 5100 for ticket availability and the best seats in the house. Be prepared for a moving, dazzling afternoon of entertainment you’ll talk about long after the show is over – you’ll want to tell all your friends about it – guaranteed!

Officially rated “G”, for GREAT.

Justin Flom, internationally awarded illusionist, was featured last week in Lima, Peru for sold out performances in the 6,000 seat arena of Callao. It was a big risk for Flom to take time off his nightly performing schedule with many sold out shows in Branson, Mo., as this has been his busiest season since first coming to Branson in 2005.

Flom, along with his family from Minnesota and 300 others from Grace Church (Eden Prairie, Minnesota) traveled to South America to minister to the spiritually lost making this his fifth trip to Peru.

Flom said, “We use the art of magic to catch their eyes, so they listen with their ears, so God can touch their heart.

“I decided to let my show in Branson be dark for a week to join others from my home church, Grace Church in Eden Prairie, Minn. We worked 18 hour days for over a week to get as many ministry opportunities in before having to travel back to the states.”

Nightly sold out crowds gathered to witness a variety of performing arts. Grace Church assembled ministry teams including unicycling, puppetry, mime, drama, choirs, and of course, magic. During the day he and the teams traveled the cities performing two and three shows at orphanages, prisons and in the poorest areas of Peru. In the evening the Callao church assembled in a soccer coliseum where 5,000 spectators gathered to see a crusade type presentation where Flom performed his larger illusions. This combined with the daily ministry events allowed for thousands to hear the Gospel.

“Our partnership with Peru’s Callao Church is vital because they take the names and addresses of those who’ve made a decision for Christ so as to keep in contact with them and helping them grow in their relationship with God through church, Bible studies, etc.,” said Flom.

“The mission field is an incredible place to stretch your own faith and to feel like you are living a fulfilling life serving Jesus Christ. I am excited to be back home in Branson to continue my dream of performing magic and entertaining audiences,” he said.

The Flom family, along with Grace Church, partnered in ministry with the same church in Peru in 1999, 2001 and 2005 and in January of 2004 Flom traveled to again minister in this unique way to the large crowds of Kenya, Nairobi.

Even though Flom is only 22, he has been performing the art of illusion for two decades. His award-winning magic has been featured for audiences all around the United States of America as well as in 10 different countries. His magic has been featured numerous times on television in the states, the cover the International Brotherhood of Magicians magazine, Linking Ring, and he recently brought home the People’s Choice Award in an international magic festival held in Malaysia.

Flom is in his third year of having his own theater, Justin Flom’s Imaginary Theatre, located on the top floor of the Majestic building at the corner of Gretna and Roark. Showtimes are 7:30 p.m. Tuesday through Saturday. The Imaginary Theatre is located at 2849 Gretna Rd.
