The New Branson Brothers Show
417-334-4080
2905 W. Hwy 76
Branson, MO   65653

The Branson Brothers are proud to announce their schedule for the 2008 season. Exciting changes are coming for the new production at the Americana Theatre opening March 12, 2008. Long time fans will appreciate the traditional flavor, while others will delight in the ALL NEW SHOW.

Exciting News! The Branson Brothers are now a quartet. The name became popular during the 1980’s as the first Branson entertainers to be awarded a National Recording Contract and appeared before thousands daily at the Echo Hollow Amphitheater. Today that close harmony and rich tradition is being relived as the show adds two world class entertainers. David Ponder from North Carolina and Seth Dillehay, a bass singer from Nashville, Tennessee join Dee Allen and Jimmy Ponder to make up the new quartet. The eighteen year old Dillehay, famous for his deep, rich bass voice with the world renown Stamps Quartet, will amaze you.

The featured new quartet member is David Ponder, joining the show after appearing in the Gaither Homecoming Shows and their famous Homecoming Videos. Having won several Dove Awards, he is well known for his award winning songs and performing nationally with the Christian group, Ponder, Sykes and Wright before joining the Branson Brothers.

The show, with a completely new format, adds a female vocalist joining Natalie Nicole and Diana Ponder. Ponder, a favorite of Branson visitors, will take on a major new role in the production with background singers and new instrumentation supporting her fabulous talent. Former musicians will be joined by a new horn section, utility player, keyboard player and lead guitar player.

Comedy will bring side splitting laughter with the antics of Perry Edenburn, one of the funniest characters on stage today.

“This is exciting,” said Jimmy Ponder, producer of the new show. Adding, “it’s always been my dream to perform with my brother and produce a big show like this. The Americana Theatre is perfect for our show and we look forward to an exciting year.”

Your guests are sure to proclaim this as “One of the best NEW shows in town.” We personally invite you to join us at the show or stop by to see us anytime during the day.

We appreciate your loyal support and look forward to serving you and entertaining your guests throughout the year.

The Rankin Brothers — Classic Music Revue
Branson, MO, January 15, 2008: Welk Resorts Branson is thrilled to announce the opening of an exciting new show for the 2008 season; "The Rankin Brothers, Classic Music Revue"!
You've more than likely heard it said that everything old is new again. The Rankin Brothers Classic Music Revue is a fresh approach to timeless musical classics. "This is a culmination of a dream come true", stated Matt Rankin. Brought up in Texas, where they honed their musical skills, performing in Branson has long been their goal. "Several offers came through, but we felt that Joe Sullivan and the Welk Resorts Organization were the perfect match for us and our families", agreed Mark Rankin. And, after a recent performance at a local community luncheon, the Branson community seems to agree. Tammy Slentz, Sales Manager at the Welk Resort Branson explains, "After the Rankin's appeared, our phones started ringing off the wall! The people absolutely love them!"
This multi-media show speaks to all groups and all generations. Based on a belief that classic music is timeless, the Rankin Brothers project a love and respect for the music they play. Along with their considerable vocal and musical talents, the Rankin Brothers have a stage presence that audiences adore. Maria Elena Holly, widow of the late, great Buddy Holly commented, "Our Visitors from England, as well as our local friends were absolutely wowed in grand style by the music and showmanship of the Rankin's. They did a tremendous job with Buddy's music."
The show consists of musical numbers from the 50's to the 90's and for a few hours, time will stand still as they take the audience on a memorable journey with hits from THE RIGHTEOUS BROTHERS, SIMON & GARFUNKEL, BUDDY HOLLY, THE EVERLY BROTHERS, NEIL DIAMOND, CONWAY TWITTY, GEORGE STRAIT, ELVIS PRESLEY, and many others. Rounding out the cast will be the Rankin Brothers Band, female singers and dancers and a comedian.
The show will take stage on March 17, 2008 and run through December 31, 2008. For more information about The Rankin Brothers and the many other great entertainers and shows at the Welk Resort, call 800-505-9355 or check our website: www.welkresortbranson.com.

Justin Flom, Branson's rising star, brought home the People's Choice Award in an extraordinary international magic festival held for the past two weeks in Malaysia.

World-renowned magicians competed by showcasing magic, showmanship and illusions of the highest caliber at the Genting International Magic Festival held at Genting Highlands Resort. Better known as Genting – City of Entertainment, it is a family holiday destination with over 18 million visitors, both Malaysians and international visitors, annually, and the world's largest resort.

"I was honored to be asked to compete and am on cloud nine being selected as the people's favorite," said Flom. "Each night of the competition audience members completed a ballot to choose the entertainer they enjoyed the most. I wasn't expecting to win when they announced my name at the awards night the last day of the festival."

Genting International Magic Festival is officially endorsed and sanctioned by the International Brotherhood of Magicians, the world’s largest organization for magicians with over 13,000 members in more than 80 countries spanning the globe. The People's Choice award is an honor among others Flom has earned this year. He was recently featured on the cover the International Brotherhood of Magicians magazine, Linking Ring.

Flom is in his second year of having his own theater, Justin Flom's Imaginary Theatre, located on the top floor of the Majestic Steakhouse at the corner of Gretna and Roark.

From the age of two Flom showed an enthusiastic interest for the art of magic and found it easy to get on stage with his dad and perform. His youth was spent performing magic with his younger siblings being billed as “The Flom Kids.” He has performed with his family overseas and been to ten different countries performing magic. At the age of 18, Flom headlined his magic show at the Branson Mall Music Theatre. By the end of 2005 construction began on the Imaginary Theatre, a venue that houses an experience-based magic show. It opened July 1, 2006.

“I love that I can transport my audience to another place and let them escape their daily life. They may laugh, cry or experience wonder but they're not worrying about their regular stressful life. That's magic. It's important that I can let the audience in on the experience because the audience is the most important part of the show. Without the audience, there is no show,” he said.

Several effects in his show are his own ideas. He derives satisfaction in seeing them built from the ground up, performing it in front of a live audience and hearing the approval, but, he said, “My favorite illusion is my next one.” And even though Flom was presenting his Christmas shows, he was already planning the new illusions for his 2008 season.

Showtimes are 7:30 p.m. Tuesday through Saturday.

For more information about the 2008 season call the box office at 417-332-1911 or go online at imaginarytheatre.com. The Imaginary Theatre is located at 2849 Gretna Rd.

(Branson, MO) — Tony Orlando is bringing his "Yellow Ribbon Salute to Veterans" to the Welk Resort Theatre this year and will follow it up with two special performances of the "Tony Orlando Show" on Monday, November 12 at 2 p.m. and 8 p.m.

Admission to the Tony Orlando Yellow Ribbon Salute to Veterans on Sunday, Nov. 11 at 2 p.m. is complimentary but limited to veterans and special guests. There is a limit of two tickets per veteran with proof of service (military ID or DD Form 214 accompanied by a current photo ID.) Tickets reserved in advance must be picked at the Welk Resort Theatre Box Office no later than 5 p.m. on Friday, Nov. 9. Any tickets that are not picked up by that deadline will be available on a first-come, first-served basis to veterans (with proof of service) beginning Saturday, Nov. 10 at 8:30 a.m. at the Welk Resort Theatre Box Office.

A highlight of the salute is Orlando's presentation of the Yellow Ribbon Medal of Freedom. Past recipients have included former President Gerald Ford, entertainer Bob Hope, Ross Perot, the Eisenhower family, former Secretary of Veterans Affairs Anthony Principi, former Branson Mayor Lou Schaefer and former POW Major Stephen Long. This year's salute will also include the Branson Veterans Task Force Closing Ceremony for Veterans Homecoming Week 2007.

"The Welk Resort has a proud tradition of saluting Veterans and supporting Branson Veterans Homecoming Week with the annual Traveling Vietnam Veterans Memorial Wall," said Joe Sullivan, executive producer of Welk-Sullivan Productions and the Welk Resort Theatre. "Tony's Yellow Ribbon Salute has always been considered the anchor for Branson's veterans week celebrations. Helping Tony Orlando continue the tradition of his "˜Yellow Ribbon Salute To Veterans' is one special way we, as an organization and member of the Branson community, can honor our Veterans and active-duty military," said Sullivan.

The Tony Orlando Show on Monday, Nov. 12 will showcase the much-beloved and admired entertainer for fans who have eagerly awaited Orlando's return to the Branson entertainment scene. The versatile entertainer brings to the stage special warmth and energy that electrifies audiences. The show will feature his string of chart-topping songs including "Candida," "Knock Three Times," "Sweet Gypsy Rose," "He Don't Love You (Like I Love You)," and the song that became an American anthem of hope and homecoming, reunion and renewal — "Tie A Yellow Ribbon Around The Old Oak Tree."

The Traveling Vietnam Veterans Memorial Wall is open daily for viewing from 8:00 a.m. to 10:00 p.m. through Sunday, Nov. 11. The Welk Resort's annual gift to veterans, visitors and the community has become a popular part of the week-long, community-wide Branson Veterans Homecoming since the mid-1990s. The scale-replica of the permanent monument in Washington D.C. is inscribed with the names of over 58,000 soldiers who gave the ultimate sacrifice for their country. The special display honors those who served in the Vietnam War in a unique, solemn and personal way.

During the seven-day display period, community volunteers are reading aloud continuously the names inscribed on the Memorial. The exhibit is located on the lawn (north side) of the Welk Resort complex. Visitors may access the "Traveling Wall" exhibit by going through either the Welk Theatre lobby or the Welk Hotel lobby. The week-long display is free and open to the public. Additional events during Veterans Homecoming at the Welk Resort Theatre include:
